WHERE IT ALL BEGINS
There are families the sea chooses.
On our father’s side, the water has run in Londoño blood for generations. Long before there was a shipyard, there were Londoños who saw water not as scenery but as a road and who helped a country of rivers and two seas learn to navigate them. That kind of passion is not inherited on paper. You carry it within. Carlos Hernando Londoño carried it to Cartagena de Indias and, with his own hands, built something of his own: a craft, a shipyard, a way of making boats. The father’s craft is what built the company.
From our mother’s side came something quieter the soul. It came from a man who lost everything and began again on the other side of the ocean, and who left his descendants a single idea: that life is to move forward.
The craft did not need a soul to exist. But the day the two met the father’s water and the mother’s word something was born that was no longer only a boatyard.
TMR was born.
A boat, in the end, is not a boat. It is the time you spend with the ones you love. It is what you leave them — and, above all, what you teach them.
That is what we make.
